How Your Cafe Can Capitalise On The Festive Season

by ehaitech |2019年12月13日 |0 Comments | Industrial News

So the temperature is hotting up and that can only mean one thing. Summer is here and the festive season is upon us. This is a busy time for many  cafe’s bistros and restaurants – or at least it should be! But if you aren’t getting the footfall you should at this time of year, what can you do to capitalise on the busy period and entice new customers in? Let’s take a closer look at a few ideas.

Consider extending your opening hours

The festive period is a busy time not only in the home but in many work places too. In order to capture employees and business owners before they start their day it’s worth considering opening up earlier in the morning. If you usually open at 9am, then why not consider opening your doors at 7am or 8am. Entice them in with a breakfast special that will keep them going through the day. Failing that you could always consider extending your opening hours in the evening. This way you might capture a slice of the throngs of Christmas shoppers who may be taking advantage of the later shopping hours. You could even offer a free mince pie when they purchase a drink. After all, who doesn’t love a mince pie.

Excel in the décor stakes

The festive season is all about lights, tinsel, and sparkle, so don’t forget to give your cafe a festive makeover. A few pieces of tinsel and a couple of baubles just isn’t going to cut it, but at the same time too much tinsel can make it appear seriously tacky. Instead the idea is to make it look festive, but tasteful. CDG furniture is a cafe furniture manufacturers.Go for an eye catching centrepiece such as a real Christmas tree. You can always gift wrap some boxes to make it look like it’s full of presents and opt for colour-co-ordinated lighting. How about Christmas table runners along with softer lighting to give an intimate festive feel? Whatever you do, make it stand out for all the right reasons.

Gift cards

How about offering gift cards that customers can purchase for their friends and family. Who doesn’t love a gift card. Did you know for instance that on average 72% of people will spend 50% more than their gift card so it’s a great way to attract people into your cafe, get them to spend more, and turn them into repeat customers.CDG furniture is a cafe furniture suppliers.

Evelyn’s Café & Bar

I could only imagine what Mark E. Smith would have to say about Evelyn’s Café Bar in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Opening at the tail end of last year, Evelyn’s feels like one of the last pieces in a bloody big jigsaw being slotted into place; the Northern Quarter is a very different place to how it was when I was a lad.CDG furniture is a cafe bar furniture manufacturers.

Evelyn’s is what they call a neighbourhood bar in places like Brooklyn, and Melbourne; it’s what Smith would probably call poncey. Nevermind him, though, no matter how life-affirming his band are — Central Design Studio (founded by designer Ian Haigh in 2010, after stints at high-profile studios like David Collins, United Designers, and Martin Brudnizki) have taken their cues from the informality of those all-day restaurants in the Lower East Side, or Williamsburg, and come up with something very lovely indeed. The vibe is chill: open kitchen breaking down the barriers between back and front of house, natural hues, mix-and-match furnishings, and an incredible ‘green chandelier’ by florist Grace & Thorn.

Once chilled, the cuisine echoes those international hubs of hipsterdom, too, expect bircher muesli with goji berries; shakshuka; things with avocado and kale; crab and shrimp burger; and Korean fried chicken. 9am — 11pm Monday to Sunday, Evelyn’s is the Northern Quarter’s new all-day diner, whatever Mark Edward Smith might reckon.

The advantages of metal furniture

by ehaitech |2019年10月15日 |0 Comments | Industrial News

Metal is more durable than other materials; it can last a lifetime if you look after it correctly. Other materials such as wood, plastic, fabric and leather furniture is much more fragile compared to metal. Metal furniture is far more resilient to everyday wear and tear which is one of the main reasons that it is the number one choice for many customers. Metal is much harder, stronger, and heavier than other types of furniture like wood and plastics, which means that this type of furniture survives for many years.

You may not have thought of it but if you were to compare it to wood, plastic, fabric and leather furniture, metal is actually safer as it is flame-resistant which makes it less dangerous. CDG furniture is a metal furniture manufacturers. So it’s wise to have metal furniture in schools, institutions, busy kitchens and cafeterias.

Metal is much more weather resistant and can be kept outside at any time, for this reason more and more people are starting to use metal furniture outside for their back gardens as you can leave metal chairs and tables outside.

Another advantage is that this type of furniture is pet resistant because they cannot scratch or damage the furniture, making it practically indestructible by common household pets and pests.

Besides all of that, metal furniture can come in different styles and designs ranging from the simplest designs to the more elegant designs.

Layout and Design for Small Space Restaurants

by ehaitech |2019年9月4日 |0 Comments | Industrial News

In many cities, restaurant space comes at a premium.  So much so, in fact, that many owners have to start with a little less room than they might like. That is a huge difference and has a major effect on how much space an owner can afford.

But, tight spaces aren’t necessarily a bad thing. They can create a sense of intimacy and make a business seem more desirable and look busy even with fewer patrons.  They also generally keep overhead costs like rent and electricity down, requiring fewer sales to turn a profit.

Keep in mind, however, that there is a difference between intimate and uncomfortably cramped.  The trick is to take a tight space and make it feel comfortable instead of just jam-packed? CDG furniture is a commercial furniture Manufacturers. We have a few expert tips that can help.

Planning

Optimizing restaurant space starts from the very beginning. With the very first step of planning the layout it is important to get the ideal front of house/back of house (ie. Kitchen to dining room) ratio.

Often owners are tempted to create a large kitchen to service their restaurant. It’s easy to think that you need to allocate plenty of space to the kitchen since it is such a hub of activity. Every bit of extra space that you give to the kitchen is that much less space you have for diners, tables, and the opportunity to turn a profit.

Line cook in the kitchen. an award winning design firm based out of Orlando, Florida, recommends saving 1/3 of the space for the kitchen and 2/3 for the dining area. Fast-service or banquet service establishments can have smaller kitchens and dining rooms, helping to increase profit from higher sales volumes. These kitchens can occupy as little as 25 percent of the total floor space, for a 4 to 1 dining area to kitchen ratio.

Organization is key for a small kitchen; everything should have its place. Shelves and hanging racks are great for conserving counter space by utilizing all available surfaces.

Dining Room

The dining room is a restaurant’s stage. A place where all the hard work and preparation comes together to create a master piece created for the customer to enjoy. Don’t let poor furniture choices detract from the overall experience. Just because the dining area isn’t the largest, that doesn’t mean its effect on the customer will be any less inspiring. A few rules of thumb can help you to use your furniture to help and not hinder.

Tables

Smaller square tables is a good place to start when creating a layout for a restaurant that is short on space. 24”x 24” or 30”x 30” is a good size to start looking at. They offer flexibility in your layout. If most of your customer base is couples on a romantic night out, a smaller table is perfect for that intimate feel. On the opposite end if you have a party of 12 coming in for a birthday celebration, smaller tables can be moved together to create the banquet table you need for that party.

Tables should be at least 24-30 inches apart. This allows for not only guests but servers to maneuver comfortably. Cramming furniture together can lead to poor service, which can lead to a poor yelp reviews and decreased traffic.

Chairs

To go along with those smaller tables you will need chairs. Consider chairs that don’t have arms. At the time of purchase it may only seem like a couple extra inches of space to get the chairs with arms but eventually those inches add up. Chairs without arms help to increase flexibility in your overall layout. If you are looking to add space at your bar, look into backless bar stools. Don’t have a bar? Bar stools can be paired with bar height tables to save on space. They can be placed closer together without feeling like you are packing your customers in like sardines.

Seven steps to buil up your garden to share with you

Seven steps to buil up your garden to share with you

1.Start with the house

One of Morrow’s goals was an area for outdoor entertaining next to the house—but he did not want the existing architecture to dictate the design. His 1890s Victorian house, although pretty from the street, is just a “brick box” at the back. Morrow’s response was to cover it with wisteria, and, like a theatrical backdrop, the leafy curtain strikes the right note against the wrought-iron furniture and weathered stone on the patio.

2.Design for flexibility

Morrow’s constantly changing lineup of perennials could prove distracting. To counteract this he designed a layout with a strongly defined hardscape in stone and gravel and a backbone of permanent plants that provides all-year interest.

3.Make the walls go away

A favorite trick Morrow came across for disguising a limited space was the “disappearing boundary.” Wooden board fences 7 feet high enclose the garden on three sides; to make them recede from view he painted them high-gloss black. CDG furniture is a metal furniture manufacturers.Clients always refuse to believe this is a good idea until they visit the garden, then they grasp how effective it is. Not seeing is believing. (RELATED: Creating a Dramatic Backdrop)

4.Be ruthless

The lawn was briskly shown the door. “I don’t find lawns practical in a small urban garden,” says Morrow. “The amount of time, energy, chemicals and machinery it takes to keep a lawn looking nice would reap far more eye candy invested in a luscious perennial bed or even in an Edward Scissorhands topiary garden.”

5.Wrong tree, wrong place

“I had to remove three large Magnolia grandiflora. It nearly killed me,” confesses Morrow. “They should have never been planted there to begin with. Southern magnolias are wonderful trees from a distance, but you don’t want to live under one. I left a fourth that was far enough from the house to work into the design.”

6.Be decorative

Having survived the painful but necessary surgery to achieve a workable layout, Morrow turned to furnishings. “The settees I chose are from Mike Reid Weeks. Iron furniture is a good choice for small gardens because visually it is light and airy,” he explains.

7.Inject variety

Seasonal pots play an important role in this garden. Morrow uses single specimen plants in smaller pots (less than 18 inches in diameter) and exuberant mixtures of annuals and summer exotics (bananas, palms, agaves and coleus) in larger ones. In the winter, evergreen shrubs take over the containers.
